ki-o rahi

ki - o rahi  tournament 

yesterday we had a ki o rahi tournament at Gisborne intermediate  but i was the water boy for Te hapara
we faced lot's of teams like Horouta,Awapuni,Kaiti,Nga ure a maui and Manatuki but sadly we lost in the semi final and at the end turanga heath  gave us a ice block  and manu - toa won the ki-o rahi tournament.

the last thing I remembered was that pa was playing his fidle

and then he started to sing than he stop and said 

"ma don't you think the rabbit will have a fun time

eating the garden that we made"

and than ma said "stop it Charles"

(pa) "oh well we can make another one when we move"

than pa started to sing again .

Mike Dawson

today we had a special guest and his name was Mike Dawson and he is an ambassador for the Olympic games 2016 but he has not won any medals but he said that if you fail than it will create a opportunity for you and he said that the best thing he did in Rio is he shared with the homelss

the new book

the new book in class is called little house on the prairie it is about family that move house and to get to the new land to build the house they have to go miles by wagon and they go through some hard times as in there dog go's missing when they cross the river and there horses freak out because the river rises but they finally settle in there new home

YESTERDAY

YESTERDAY was a pretty horrible day because it was raining alll day as you would know and I love sports so it was sad not being able to go outside and then it finally stopped we were all happy but the bad new's was that the red flags were out the red flags means we are not aloud on the field and then the three bells rang the three bells is when we are completely not aloud as in a inside lunch we call and it's the same today.

school rugby

last week at tehapara the A rugby team played home game of rugby against mangapapa's A rugby team first we did a haka to them then started the game we won by 2 tries  after we gave mangapapa a feed/fruit & milk after they went back to there school it was lunch time for us after lunch we had golden time golden time is a time when we can do whatever we want to but it has to be a responsible choice thank you for reading

the soccer tournement

last week three soccer teams from tehapara school went to a tournament and we played 6 soccer games  but unfortunately we did not make it in to the semi finals or the grand final but we did try our best and we ended up 5th the girls team came first in the girl pool and the other boys team came 4th in our pool.

Kia ora my name is Akira and I like sports and spending time with my family and my friends.

I go to Te Hapara School, the best school in the world. My culture is Maori, pakeha, and japanese. I have two sisters and six brothers. There is Shanon, Cane, Joshua, Qudane, Zane, Keanu, Samantha and Jessie. My step dad is Chris, my mum Janelle and my dad Simon.

I personally think I’m good at rippa rugby and art e.g maori designs.

I enjoy all sorts of sports and spending time with family and friends plus swimming and running.

My challenges are to win the 100 metre sprints for the boys and the 200 metres for the boys as well. I want to make it into as many sports as I can. I also want to be the kaea of Te Ata Hapara Kapa Haka group. And that’s it.
